Blog Updates: Wednesday 12th March 2008

OK, here’s the deal. You need to do the following things by the end of the lesson:

1. Make sure your first two posts are completed, including the organic vs inorganic quiz.

2. Embed a photo of your group’s experiment into a new post on your blog. If you need help, Mr. T or one of your mates will help you. Then you can write a short passage about your experiment – What are you doing? Why? What do you expect to happen? What have you observed so far?

For those that have finished:

3. Visit Mrs Bonzo’s blog and post a “hello” message in her comments.

4. Find a video or animation of photosynthesis on YouTube and embed it to a new post in your blog. What did you learn from it?

If you still have time (you won’t)

5. Search for interesting photos and videos related to ecology and ecosystems. Create a new post and add these to your blog too. Don’t forget to add a sentence or two about each one – why do you think it’s cool or why is it useful?

OK?

Happy Days.

Remember, if you need help, just ask.

You guys are going to start your own Science blogs, which will rock.

Today, you’ll get set up and start posting. In your post, you’ll learn how to embed a quiz or video clip, so it looks like you have something cool in your blog, like the quiz below:

When you’ve got all that done, let’s write a comment about how you found the quiz. Do you understand the difference between organic and inorganic materials?
